Python Support Engineer

Job Title: Support Engineer

Location: Remote / Hybrid (India)

Shift Timings: 9 AM 6 PM IST (Regular)

Night Shift: Once every 4 weeks (8 PM – 5 AM IST; flexible based on team coordination)

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Support Engineer to join our engineering operations team. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing distributed microservice-based systems built with NestJS and Python, deployed on AWS with SQS queues and DynamoDB. You’ll work closely with the backend and frontend teams to ensure seamless system performance and reliability. Experience with React applications is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain NestJS and Python-based microservices in production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues across AWS services (EC2, SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Monitor and debug message queues and asynchronous workflows.
• Write automation scripts and diagnostic tools in Python or Node.js to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to ensure end-to-end stability.
• Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and create technical documentation.
• Participate in a scheduled night shift (once every 4 weeks) for production support.
• Work on enhancing observability, error tracking, and performance monitoring systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in backend support, DevOps, or production engineering.
• Strong proficiency in NestJS, Node.js, and Python microservices.
• Solid understanding of AWS architecture (especially SQS, Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB, CloudWatch).
• Experience with message-driven / event-based systems.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs, authentication flows, and microservices debugging.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

• Familiarity with React.js applications (debugging, deployment, or support).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).

Shift Details:

• Regular Shift: 9 AM – 6 PM IST

• Night Shift: 8 PM – 5 AM IST (once every 4 weeks; flexible based on schedule rotation)
