Python Developer/Lead

We are looking for a talented Senior Python Developer / Technical Team Lead with expertise in Python, data engineering, and AI to lead and mentor our development team. The ideal candidate has experience with Anaconda, data engineering, and machine learning/AI applications, along with a strong understanding of API development using Azure Functions and deployment management with Azure DevOps. As the Technical Team Lead, you will oversee project development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide junior developers, ensuring high-quality code and efficient workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Python developers, ensuring best practices and code standards.
• Architect, design, and develop advanced Python applications with a focus on data engineering and AI.
• Develop and maintain APIs using Python on Azure Functions for scalable microservices and integrations.
• Utilise Azure DevOps for CI/CD, project tracking, and automated deployment.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to build scalable data pipelines and machine learning solutions.
• Utilise Anaconda for package management, environment setup, and efficient code execution.
• Conduct code reviews and oversee project lifecycles, from design to deployment.
• Troubleshoot and optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Stay updated with industry trends, especially in Python, data engineering, and AI, and incorporate them into team practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional Python development experience, including data engineering and AI applications.
• Strong experience in developing APIs using Azure Functions/Others.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps/Other DevOps tools for CI/CD and project management.
• Experience with Anaconda and associated tools for environment and package management.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure
• Proficiency in databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data transformation tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines
