• Position Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Python Automation Engineer to join our QA/Testing team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and test scripts using Python, ensuring product quality and reliability across applications, APIs, and systems.

• Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
• Build and enhance test automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and create test plans.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing using automation tools.
• Perform API testing (REST/SOAP) with Python libraries such as requests, httpx, or pytest.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and report defects in bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
• Ensure test data management, environment setup, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Stay updated on test automation trends, tools, and best practices.

• Required Skills

• Strong experience in Python programming for automation.
• Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework, Unittest, Behave).
• Experience in Selenium / Playwright / Appium for web and mobile testing.
• Strong knowledge of API testing using Python.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Good knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience in PyTesting

• Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience in cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust).
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for containerized test environments.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Behave, Cucumber).
