PYP Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based units of inquiry aligned with PYP transdisciplinary themes.
• Facilitate a constructivist approach to learning that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and learning styles in the classroom.
• Integrate key PYP elements learner profile, ATL skills, key concepts, and international-mindedness into daily teaching.
• Use formative and summative assessments to inform teaching and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with grade-level and specialist teachers to ensure a cohesive and connected learning experience.
• Maintain accurate student records and report on student progress through portfolios, conferences, and written reports.
• Participate in professional development and school community events.
• Contribute actively to curriculum development and school initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Education or relevant subject area (Masters preferred).
• IB PYP training and/or prior experience teaching in an IB World School preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the primary level.
• Strong understanding of child development and inquiry-based pedagogy.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using digital tools to support learning and collaboration.
