As a Microsoft Purview Data Governance Consultant / Sr. Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and deploying solutions with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance platforms. Your expertise in data governance principles, such as Metadata management, Data cataloging, Lineage tracking, and Compliance frameworks will be crucial. Additionally, you should have proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage. Your responsibilities will include program management where you will lead the program as a Program Leader using Agile Methodology. You will guide the team on Data Governance, Microsoft Purview, and Azure Data Management. You will also be responsible for maintaining detailed outcomes and tasks, reporting to Senior Management and Client Leads, and establishing regular meeting cadences. You will lead the design and deployment of Microsoft Purview solutions for data governance and compliance. You will guide Consultants on aligning implementations with business and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will oversee the integration of Purview with data sources, ensuring smooth lineage and metadata management, and direct Consultants in data integration efforts. As part of your role, you will lead the configuration of data classification and sensitivity policies to meet compliance standards. You will advise on compliance risks and guide Consultants in policy implementation. Furthermore, you will work with data teams to define and enforce governance practices and mentor Consultants in governance strategy execution. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring Purview services meet business needs, security, and compliance. You will drive improvements and support Consultants with service optimization. You will lead data discovery efforts to enhance data quality and security, oversee strategy execution, and guide Consultants in supporting discovery processes. In addition, you will be monitoring and troubleshooting Purview services to ensure optimal performance. You will provide guidance to Consultants on troubleshooting issues and document best practices and governance workflows. You will lead training for users and mentor Consultants in documentation and training efforts.
