Job Description

Job Summary

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for commercial interior fit-out projects. This role involves vendor management, ensuring timely delivery, cost optimization, and maintaining quality standards while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities Procurement Management

  • Identify and procure materials, fixtures, and fittings required for commercial interior fit-out projects.
  • Prepare purchase orders, compare quotations, and finalize vendor contracts.
  • Ensure all purchases meet project specifications, quality standards, and budget constraints.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors.
  • Maintain and update a database of preferred suppliers and vendors for future projects.

Inventory & Logistics

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid project delays.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and site teams to ensure proper storage and tracking of materials.
  • Oversee logistics and transportation to ensure on-time delivery of materials to project sites.

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Analyze procurement costs and propose value engineering solutions to optimize spending.
  • Track and report purchase orders, payments, and material usage for each project.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and generate periodic reports for management.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all materials and services comply with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks and resolve any issues with defective or non-compliant materials.

Coordination

  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and site engineers to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Communicate with vendors and project teams to resolve procurement-related challenges promptly.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of interior fit-out materials, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • 1–2 years of experience in procurement for interior fit-out or construction projects.
