Role & responsibilities

  • Vendor management:

    Research and evaluate potential vendors, negotiate contracts and terms, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Procurement and ordering:

    Create purchase orders, compare quotes to ensure maximum return on investment, and place orders as needed.
  • Inventory and quality control:

    Monitor stock levels, inspect incoming goods for quality, and coordinate with other departments like warehouse and finance to meet needs.
  • Logistics and delivery:

    Track incoming deliveries, resolve any issues with orders (e.g., non-supplied, over, or damaged goods), and ensure timely delivery.
  • Record keeping and reporting:

    Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including orders, shipments, invoices, and stock levels.
  • Financial and budget management:

    Work with financial teams to ensure purchases are within budget, review invoices, and process payments.
  • Market analysis:

    Conduct market research on industry trends and potential new products or suppliers.
