Role & responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Follow up with vendors in getting response to RFPs in defined format in defined time lines. Any deviations should be reported to GM
• Review negotiate independently and if required along with GM purchase
• Lead supplier negotiations, recommend supplier selection and implement contracts designed
• Conducting periodical product finalization
• Doing negotiations at the department level and taking them to the committee for the final negotiation and from there to Director-Operations for non-focused items
• Developing one point item master creation
• Sanitising item master periodically
• Review new items created
• Blocking/deactivating non formulary codes
• Vendor finalization and periodical review of the performance of vendor
• Ensure that all product categories (general, pharmacy, surgical, consumables, implants, joints etc.) key vendor data base intending to involve for annual negotiation process is maintained
• Data entry of category wise vendor data base as per predefined format
• Conduct review meetings with managers and stock holders to assess performance and identify gaps to make improvement to meet the requirements
• Design appropriate monitoring and reporting mechanism with the help of GM purchase that highlights cost saving achieved by category of products/ vendors and validate vendor performance
• Monitor potential competitor in the market and communicate to GM purchase for continuous improvement .
