Role & responsibilities

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience:

Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement/purchase roles.

Prior experience in FMCG, Home Care, Air Care, Fragrance, or OEM manufacturing is strongly preferred.

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of raw materials, fragrances, packaging materials, and large-scale manufacturing procurement.

Key Skills:

Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills

Strong analytical and cost optimization capabilities

Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Preferred candidate profile

We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations, ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials and packaging, optimize costs, and maintain strong supplier relationships to support high-volume manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with production plans and business objectives.

Ensure timely availability of raw materials, fragrances, packaging materials, and consumables.

Vendor Management & Development

Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage reliable suppliers for raw materials, fragrances, and packaging.

Build long-term partnerships with vendors while ensuring quality, cost competitiveness, and reliability.

Negotiation & Cost Optimization

Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Continuously work on cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supply continuity. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

Collaborate closely with production, planning, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Prevent production downtime by ensuring seamless material flow. Quality & Compliance

Ensure all procured materials meet internal quality standards and certifications.

Coordinate with quality teams for vendor audits and material approvals. Market Intelligence

Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, raw material availability, and alternative sourcing options.

Develop risk mitigation plans for supply disruptions. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with R&D, production, quality, and sales teams for new product development and client-specific requirements.

Support customized procurement needs for private-label clients. Reporting & MIS

Prepare and present procurement reports, cost analysis, vendor performance metrics, and inventory status to management.

Maintain accurate documentation and records.
