As the Purchase Manager (Jewellery) at our company, located in Kochi/Thrissur, you will play a key role in sourcing equipment, goods, and jewellery items from vendors and contractors. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing a team, managing daily operational requirements, and executing strategic procurement activities across a multi-faceted environment. Your main functions will involve developing and generating leads, formulating purchasing strategies for jewellery and other necessary items, tracking key metrics to reduce expenses, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements. You will also be responsible for negotiating optimal deals, managing purchasing risks, identifying reliable vendors, and seeking competitive prices to enhance profitability. Forecasting sales strategies based on customer flow, market trends, and stock levels will be crucial aspects of your role. You will need to stay updated on market trends, perform cost analysis, identify new suppliers regularly, and maintain stock levels as per approved standards. Additionally, you will handle contract management, vendor relationships, and ensure quality assurance within your procurement team. Your responsibilities will extend to managing the diamond manufacturing process, ensuring creative designs, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining the highest quality standards for diamond jewellery. Regular reporting, quality checking, and adherence to purchasing timelines will be essential to your role.
