Purchase Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure construction materials such as

  cement, steel, sand, aggregates, bricks/blocks, tiles, plumbing, sanitary, electrical, hardware and waterproofing materials

  .
• Receive material indents/requisitions from project and site teams.
• Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and prepare

  Comparative Statements (CS)

  .
• Negotiate

  price, quality, payment terms and delivery schedules

  with vendors.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers.
• Prepare and process

  Purchase Orders (POs)

  after required approvals.
• Coordinate with

  Site Engineers, Project Managers, Stores, QS, Accounts and Finance

  teams.
• Follow up with vendors and transporters to ensure timely delivery to project sites.
• Monitor pending POs, stock availability and material requirements.
• Check material quantity and specifications against approved requirements.
• Resolve issues related to shortages, rejected materials, quality discrepancies and delayed deliveries.
• Verify vendor invoices against POs and delivery documents and coordinate with Accounts for payment.
• Maintain vendor database, quotation records, POs, delivery records and procurement documentation.
• Prepare

  daily/weekly/monthly Purchase MIS and cost reports

• Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for

  cost reduction and alternative materials
