Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Coordinate with vendors for price negotiation, delivery timelines, and quality requirements.
Collect quotations, prepare comparative statements, and submit for approval.
Procurement Operations:
Raise Purchase Orders (POs) as per material requisitions.
Follow up for timely delivery of goods and services.
Ensure procurement of materials as per company standards (quality, quantity, and cost).
Inventory & Stock Coordination:
Coordinate with the store and inventory department to track stock levels.
Monitor reorder levels and maintain optimal inventory.
Local Market Visits:
Visit local vendors/suppliers/markets for urgent purchases or samples.
Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, or electrical/electronic components when required.
Must have own bike to travel to vendors, logistics hubs, or warehouses.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain proper documentation of purchases, delivery challans, and invoices.
Assist in preparing daily and weekly purchase reports.
Support audits and inventory reconciliations.
Coordination & Communication:
Work closely with production, store, and accounts departments.
Resolve any issues related to material quality, delivery delay, or vendor disputes.

Required Skills:

Good negotiation and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems
Time management and multitasking ability
Basic knowledge of electronics/electrical components (preferred)
