Job Description

ole & responsibilities

Procure raw materials such as foam, fabric, spring units, adhesives
Purchase packing materials including poly covers, cartons, tapes, and labels
Develop and manage vendor base and negotiate prices, terms, and lead times
Prepare and issue purchase orders as per approved requisitions
Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
Coordinate with stores and production teams for material planning
Ensure materials meet quality standards and specifications
Handle supplier invoices and coordinate with accounts for payment processing
Maintain purchase records, MIS reports, and cost analysis
Monitor inventory levels and support material requirement planning (MRP)
Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternate suppliers
Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

2-4 years of experience in purchase or procurement,
preferably in mattress, furniture
, foam, or manufacturing industry
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Knowledge of raw materials used in mattress manufacturing
Experience with ERP / purchase management systems

Preferred Skills

Experience in bulk and rate contract purchases
Familiarity with inventory and production planning
