Qualification

Experience of Chemicals Industry

Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Materials Management.

B.Sc. or M. Sc. Or B.Tech in Chemistry or a related field is preferred for candidates handling technical chemical purchases.

Required Skill Set :

Experience in purchasing raw materials, chemicals, solvents, packaging materials, and other industrial supplies.

Knowledge of vendor development, price negotiation, and purchase order preparation.

Knowledge of inventory management and stock control.

Understanding of GST, purchase invoices, and basic accounting.

Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel, email, and ERP or purchase software.

3-5 years of experience is preferable for an experienced candidate.

Prior experience in a chemical trading or manufacturing company is an advantage.

Relevant Industry

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

Evaluate vendor performance regularly and maintain an approved vendor list.

Coordinate with the inventory department to maintain optimal stock levels.

Track and ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.

Monitor material usage and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement data.

Prepare reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.

Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Collaborate with internal departments (production, finance, logistics, etc.) to understand procurement needs.

Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or delays.

Assist in the planning and forecasting of material requirements.

Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective negotiation and alternative sourcing.

Conduct market analysis to stay updated on trends, new products, and potential suppliers.

Salary: Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 45,000/-
