Key Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of raw materials, consumables, spares, and other materials required for nail manufacturing operations.
• Source and develop reliable vendors for steel wire, packaging materials, machine spares, lubricants, tools, and plant consumables.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Prepare and release purchase orders as per approved requirements and company procedures.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Maintenance, and Quality departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
• Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and avoid production delays.
• Verify material specifications, quantities, delivery schedules, and required documentation in coordination with the concerned departments.
• Maintain vendor records, purchase registers, quotations, purchase orders, and other procurement-related documents.
• Coordinate with the Quality and Stores teams regarding rejected, damaged, or non-conforming materials and arrange replacements where required.
• Track market prices, identify alternative suppliers, and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material planning to prevent stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Resolve supplier-related issues concerning pricing, quality, delivery, and payment coordination.
• Assist in vendor evaluation, performance monitoring, and development of long-term supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with internal purchase procedures, approval limits, and documentation requirements.

Technical Knowledge

• Practical knowledge of procurement processes in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Understanding of steel wire, raw materials, fasteners, packaging materials, machine spares, and plant consumables will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of vendor sourcing, quotation comparison, price negotiation, and purchase order management.
• Understanding of material specifications, quality requirements, and supplier documentation.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management, stock levels, and material planning.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP / inventory management systems.
• Ability to analyse quotations, compare commercial terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Education Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field.

A diploma or qualification in Materials Management / Procurement will be an added advantage.

Work Experience Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in purchase or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
• Hands-on experience in vendor development, purchase order processing, price negotiation, and supplier follow-ups.
• Experience in procuring raw materials, engineering items, machine spares, or industrial consumables will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience in steel, wire, nail, fastener, or metal manufacturing industries will be strongly preferred.
• Freshers are not preferred.

• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
• Good analytical skills with an understanding of cost control and commercial evaluation.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Stores, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
• Strong follow-up skills to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and work within deadlines.
• Integrity, accountability, and a cost-conscious approach to procurement.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
