Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for raw materials such as paper, covers, binding material, ink, and packaging.
Negotiate with vendors for best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team for material planning.
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships for long-term partnerships.
Track purchase budgets, cost savings, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate purchase records, agreements, and vendor database.
Work closely with accounts for payment processing and with production for material quality checks.
Regularly analyze market trends, pricing, and new suppliers for cost optimization.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of raw materials used in diary/stationery manufacturing.
Good understanding of supply chain, procurement, and vendor management.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or purchase management systems.
Analytical thinking with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple suppliers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Business Administration (preferred).
2–5 years of relevant experience in procurement (manufacturing industry experience preferred).
