Job Description

Job Description: (Material, Bought outs & Equipments for Steam Turbine / Compressor.)

Responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing suppliers for critical turbine components and BOP items such as Gearboxes, Lube Oil Systems, Heat Exchangers etc. To work closely with Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and Production to ensure on-time availability of materials that meet quality, cost, and technical requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Purchasing of Material and Equipment for Steam Turbine & Compressors
Sending RFQs
Collecting Offers
Co-ordination with Technical & Quality for technical release of offers
Negotiation
Preparing comparison statement
Archiving of Purchasing Documents and backups
Releasing POs in SAP
Expediting & Follow up
Order Status Monitoring & Reporting
ISO / QMS documentation

Key Competencies Required

Adequate technical knowledge for Auxiliary & Equipments for Steam Turbine & Compressors Good communication skills.
Procurement and buying experience for Engineering industry and good understanding for Procurement Process
Commercial knowledge related to taxation and product costing
Excellent purchasing / negotiation skills.
Expediting skills
Strong communicator verbal and in written in English language
Proactive team player
Self-motivated and target driven - proactive and enthusiastic with good attention to detail and willingness to take ownership
