Job Description

Job Role: Dance Teacher (PRT)

Location: DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching Learning

Plan and conduct engaging dance classes for Pre-Primary and Primary students.
Introduce students to a variety of dance forms suitable for young ages (creative movement, basic classical/folk steps, contemporary, rhythm exercises).
Integrate dance with themes from the curriculum.
Use child-friendly teaching methods that promote expression, imagination, and motor-skill development.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Curriculum Lesson Planning

Develop structured lesson plans aligned with the school s progressive pedagogy and CBSE co-scholastic guidelines.
Create rubrics for assessments focusing on participation, rhythm, coordination, and creativity rather than performance alone.
Introduce simple warm-up techniques, stretching, posture, and movement fundamentals.

Events Performances

Prepare students for assemblies, school events, cultural celebrations, and dance showcases.
Choreograph age-appropriate dance routines that highlight student abilities.

Collaboration Communication

Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school committees.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Performing Arts / Dance / Fine Arts or equivalent certification.
Training in classical/folk/contemporary dance (any recognised form).
Prior experience teaching young children (preferably in a school).
Energetic, child-friendly, and creative approach to teaching.
Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
Good communication skills and teamwork.
