Prototype Technician

Job Purpose ( Significance of the role & Objective )

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Assemble, install, and fit vehicle systems (mechanical, electrical, and body components) as per prototype build instructions.
• Assist engineers in building prototype vehicles and sub-assemblies.
• Perform modifications, retrofits, and upgrades on prototype models as required.
• Document build processes, test results, and report issues to the engineering team.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with design, production, and testing teams to implement improvements.

Desired Qualifications: Required qualification, Knowledge, and Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in prototype build and vehicle assembly (preferably in the 4-wheeler segment).
• Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with workshop tools, torque equipment, and safety practices.
