Proposals Engineer

You will be a Proposals Engineer at JordProxa, working under the guidance of the Technical Sales Manager. Your main responsibility will involve creating persuasive proposals to showcase the advantages of purchasing crystallisers from our company. These proposals must include detailed technical information to impress our clients and aid them in their decision-making process. It is crucial that the pricing presented in the proposals is accurate and backed by a meticulous cost estimate. Your duties will revolve around reviewing client specifications and bid requirements to identify key technical and commercial considerations that need to be incorporated into our estimates and proposals. You will be tasked with preparing estimates for different types of proposals, ensuring that they align with current material and fabrication costs. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Technical Sales Manager and General Manager to develop tender bids and solid proposals for significant projects. As a Proposals Engineer, you will also be responsible for creating preliminary and budgetary proposals, managing quote systems, and facilitating the smooth transition of projects to the Operations team upon winning a bid. Effective communication with the Operations team is essential for project success, although you are not directly accountable for project margins. To excel in this role, you should hold a degree in Process or Chemical Engineering and possess a minimum of five years of experience in the chemical or process industry. Proficiency in detailed estimating and layout of turnkey or modular plants is required, along with a background in the design of integrated process systems. Familiarity with AutoCAD design software and experience in crystallisation equipment/plant design and estimation will be advantageous. Strong technical writing skills, a proactive attitude towards business development, and the ability to collaborate within a diverse team environment are also essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is expected to effectively carry out your responsibilities.,
