Proposal Engineer/Manager

As a Proposal Engineer at a water treatment engineering firm, your main focus will be on developing and managing proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects. This will involve preparing both technical and commercial proposals, collaborating effectively with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You are expected to have a good knowledge and experience in UF, RO, ETP, STP, Softener, DM Plants, and other relevant technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support for bids, proposals, and client presentations. - Prepare technical specifications, calculations, and drawings for water treatment processes and related infrastructure. - Support project execution from concept to commissioning, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. - Develop optimum solutions for proposals and submit them within the committed time frame. - Develop schemes and flow diagrams for proposed water treatment plants (WTP, RO, UF, ZLD, ETP, STP). - Float RFQs/specifications and collect backup quotations for required material/equipment from approved vendors, evaluate fair pricing, negotiate with vendors, and prepare the best possible cost estimate. Qualifications Required: - Good knowledge of Water & Waste Water Treatment (ETP/RO/UF/DM/ZLD) terms, definitions, and design calculations. - Conversant with plant operation and equipment such as Oil separator, DAF, UASB, Aeration, Clarifiers, Filters, UF, RO, MBR, Pumps, Blowers, instrumentation, automation, etc. - Proper understanding and preparation of the water balance of the plant. - Knowledge of instrumentation requirements to operate the plant and meet process guarantees. - Expertise in UF & RO projections. - Confident in working out techno-commercial proposals independently, including P&ID, Process Calculations, Plant Layout, BOM, Specifications, Detailed Costing.
