Job Description

As a Project Control and Project Monitoring professional at WSP, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of planning, scheduling, and programming of work. Your key duties and responsibilities will include: - Leading planning input on assigned projects and managing contributions from other planners to ensure consistent and effective delivery aligned with scope, time, cost, and quality requirements. - Establishing baseline schedules and control procedures, monitoring progress to ensure early identification of issues. - Providing progress and earned value reports to support financial forecasting and enable timely corrective actions. - Assisting senior planners in monitoring project risks, issues, resource allocation, and CPM analysis. - Supporting project planning, scheduling, and control inputs for estimating and tendering activities. - Promoting a high-performance culture aligned with WSP values by actively participating in performance management. - Contributing to the planning and control strategies of assigned projects. - Performing other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager or Head of Department within the GCC PMCM team. Key Competencies and Mandatory Skills: - Strong expertise in project scheduling using tools such as Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Microsoft Project. - Solid understanding and application of Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Techniques, and general project management principles. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for creating tools and dashboards. - In-depth knowledge of project scheduling philosophies, principles, practices, and techniques. - Experience reviewing and ensuring the quality of junior planners" work, with excellent communication skills. Preferred Skills: - Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualization. - Ability to mentor and guide junior planners to deliver planning outputs on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Qualifications: - Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. - Typically, 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in project scheduling. - Certification in project management such as CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2. - Additional qualifications in Project Management or Construction Management are preferred.
