Project Manager

Position: Project Manager Building Construction (PMC)

Qualification: B.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering

Experience: 1018 years (minimum 5 years in PMC handling large building projects)

RPMC is the project management division of 'Raje Consultants'. It was incorporated in the year 2009 with a view to provide superior quality Project Management Services for our clients.

The company functions on key areas like transparency, team spirit, implementation of superior techniques to enhance quality, safety, honesty, timely delivery, meticulous planning, periodic training for new trends in the construction industry etc.

Role Purpose:

To lead and manage overall planning, execution, quality, safety, cost, and timely delivery of building construction projects as part of a PMC team. The role requires close coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with design, contractual, statutory, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate between clients, consultants, and contractors for seamless execution.
• Review and approve work programs, construction methodologies, and project plans.

2. Site Execution Oversight

• Lead and supervise all civil, structural, and finishing works at site.
• Monitor daily/weekly progress, review contractor work against approved schedules.
• Resolve technical and site-related issues by coordinating with stakeholders.

3. Quality Management

• Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and IS codes.
• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures, material testing, and inspections.
• Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and ensure proper documentation.

4. Safety Management

• Ensure contractors follow safety norms, PPE usage, and statutory guidelines.
• Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident reporting.
• Promote a strong safety culture at the site and ensure zero-incident compliance.

5. Contracts & Cost Control

• Support in tendering, bid evaluation, and appointment of contractors/vendors.
• Certify contractor bills, track variations, and monitor project costs against budgets.
• Highlight risks and initiate corrective actions for cost/schedule overruns.

6. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the single point of contact for the client and consultant for all project matters.
• Prepare and present periodic progress reports and MIS to senior management.
• Ensure closure of NCRs, punch lists, and final project handover documentation.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong technical knowledge of building construction (RCC, finishing, external development).
• Understanding of MEP coordination in building projects.
• Excellent knowledge of QA/QC procedures, safety standards, and IS/NBC codes.
• Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD (basic), and MS Office.
• Good leadership, client-handling, and contractor management skills.
