Job Description

  • Develops, refines, validates and manages project plans to ensure on time and on budget delivery of major technology initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Responsible for utilizing project management methods, standards, project integration as well as the coordination of all internal and external resources required to complete assigned projects.
  • Provides timely and concise communications to functional leadership regarding project status and pending issues; analyzes processes and makes recommendations for optimizing resources and product delivery.
  • Develops project plans based on specifications provided by the Portfolio Management staff and manages effective execution of the initiatives.
  • Builds consensus among multiple process leads relative to project scope, task execution, staffing and issue resolution.
  • Sourcing with vendors on behalf of the business area represented.
  • Provides overall financial direction for the projects to manage the development of budgets, controls and measurements to monitor project progress.
  • Identifies potential risks within the project; proactively manages issues.
  • Participates in identifying project costs, resource allocation, project schedule changes and issue escalation.
  • Frequently interacts with staff including business area management, portfolio managers, vendors, consultants and other contractors.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with both internal and external team members including executive business owners, product managers and vendors.
  • Conduct formal review with business sponsor at project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction to track and measure client satisfaction levels and make and implement recommendation.

Educational Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems or Engineering

Certifications:

  • PMP

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of IT experience including prior Project Management experience
  • Experience with IT Infrastructure projects like m365 migrations, endpoint migrations/deployments, network refreshes, SAN/NAS deployment and migrations, Windows and Linux OS upgrades, SQL DB upgrades, wifi deployments, Teams room deployments/upgrades, etc

  • Thorough knowledge of waterfall methodologies on technically complex projects
  • Strong experience around project financials / budget management and reporting, and resource capacity management.
  • Nice to have: Agile Scrum experience

Tools Knowledge:

  • Mandatory - Advanced Excel skills, such as data analysis, pivot tables, lookups.
  • Nice to Have - Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) : Jira / Azure DevOps
  • Nice to Have - Experience of Project and Portfolio Management tools eg, Clarity, Open Workbench

Work timings

Experience & Educational Requirements:

bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience. 4+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in IT project management or IT delivery.
