Project Lead, Global Travel

The Project Lead, Global Travel & Expense position at General Mills India Center (GIC) in Mumbai is a key role within the Global Shared Services (GSS) function. As a Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing key projects and initiatives within the Travel & Expense organization. Your primary focus will be on business travel, with potential involvement in expense reporting and credit card projects as well. Reporting to the Travel & Expense Manager, you will work closely with various teams and stakeholders to drive outstanding employee satisfaction, process improvement, and innovation in alignment with the Travel & Expense strategy of Simple, Safe, and Savvy. Key Responsibilities: - Lead global and/or regional projects within the Travel & Expense organization - Execute and lead the India Travel Program, and potentially other country travel programs as assigned - Manage the Global Hotel Program from annual RFP to execution and ongoing management - Responsible for the Travel Compliance Dashboard process - Identify and implement compliance and continuous improvement opportunities - Maintain effective stakeholder relationships at local, regional, and global levels - Own day-to-day supplier management and collaborate with key suppliers such as travel management companies, airlines, hotels, car rentals, and technology and credit card suppliers Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or higher in business, operations management, or a related field - Strong project management skills with a minimum of 5 years of corporate travel management expertise - Extensive knowledge and proven results in managing business travel for a multinational company - Familiarity with corporate online booking tools and superior supplier management - Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills - Ability to communicate and influence effectively across different levels of the organization - Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic and international) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience leading process improvement initiatives in a global, cross-cultural organization - Global/multi-cultural customer service experience - Experience in leading a team, both direct and indirect Join General Mills, a company that is committed to making food the world loves while prioritizing being a force for good.
