Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer - Design with 3 to 5 years of Casting experience using Creo skills. This role is focused on the design and development of cast components and assemblies for various mechanical applications. Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing Creo to create precise 3D models of cast parts, ensuring that designs are optimized for manufacturability through common casting processes such as sand casting, die casting, or investment casting. This involves considering design features like draft angles, core design, parting lines, and machining allowances to facilitate efficient mold creation and production. You will be responsible for creating detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with appropriate GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to accurately communicate design intent to foundries and manufacturing teams. Collaboration with manufacturing engineers, material specialists, and quality control personnel will be essential to ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to performance specifications. Your problem-solving skills and ability to apply engineering principles to practical casting design challenges will be key to success in this role.
