Job Description

This Position reports to: Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.The work model for the role is: # LI HybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.You will be mainly accountable for:

Experienced in the selection, specification, configuration, testing and maintenance of safety instrumented systems (SIS) following IEC 61508/ 61511.
Experience in oil & gas process knowledge, strong understanding of process units and business drivers. Experience and knowledge of instrument and control systems through design and field installation.
Ability to design and engineer SIS using safety requirements specifications, alarm specification, cause and effect diagrams, system block diagrams, logic narratives and function / logic block diagrams.
Proficient with SIS hardware design, system design, software design, application programming and HMI graphics development.
Proficient with SIS design including functional design specifications, response time calculations, test specifications and SIL verification calculations

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

BE /B Tech (Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical).
5 to 7 years of experience in SIS design including functional design specifications, response time calculations.
Thorough understanding of P&ID symbology and presentation techniques
Knowledge of instrument maintenance practices.
Must be willing to travel to customer sites for commissioning activities of SIS.
