Job Description

Key Responsibilities : 1. Installation & Commissioning : Oversee the installation and commissioning of Fire Suppression, Fire Detection, and Gas Detection Systems. Perform system integration and field testing for systems like Schrack, Honeywell, Ravel, Notifier, Morle, New Fire, Swastik, Kidde, and Rotarex. Ensure compliance with all safety codes, standards, and company procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve any system or installation issues during commissioning. 2. Site Management : Supervise site activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring the project is on schedule and within budget. Manage manpower on-site, ensuring the team is effectively utilized and the work is carried out according to the project plan. Coordinate with other site teams (civil, electrical, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of the fire systems with other systems. 3. Documentation & Reporting : Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including site reports, installation protocols, testing records, and final handover documents. Prepare and submit system design, equipment specifications, and test reports. Ensure all required documentation is submitted to clients and regulatory authorities on time. Support project managers with project tracking, progress updates, and reporting. 4. Client Interaction : Liaise with clients to ensure that their requirements are understood and met during the project lifecycle. Conduct site surveys and provide technical advice during project implementation. Ensure post-installation training is conducted and the client is satisfied with the systems functionality. 5. Safety & Compliance : Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations during the installation and commissioning phases. Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with local fire safety standards, including NFPA, UL, and other relevant codes. 6. Technical Support & Troubleshooting : Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues with installed systems. Assist the service team with maintenance and corrective actions after installation. Key Requirements : Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field. (or equivalent experience) Minimum 3-15 years of experience in the installation, commissioning, and testing of Fire Suppression, Fire Detection, and Gas Detection Systems. Proven experience with systems from brands such as Schrack, Honeywell, Ravel, Notifier, Morle, New Fire, Swastik, Kidde, Rotarex, etc. Experience in site supervision, manpower management, and handling documentation related to fire safety projects. Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate site teams. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
