Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus, India Project Associate position in the government funded research project Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate-1 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, for a Department of Health Research (DHR) sponsored research project (R.11017/14/2023-GIA/HR) titled “ Design, development and performance investigation of neck exoskeleton in prevention and reduction of the neck pain.” Principal Investigator: Dr. Ganesh M. Bapat (https://www.bits-pilani.ac.in/goa/ganeshm/Profile ) Co-PI: Prof. Jajati K. Sahoo Broad area of Research: Mechanisms design and synthesis, Biomechanics, Optimization, Product Design, Finite element simulations Project duration: 3 years Fellowship (Rs.): 31,000 pm+ 9% HRA for eligible candidates Last date of Application: Rolling advertisement (1st round of processing by 22nd June 2025) Qualification : Bachelors in Engineering andpostgraduate degree (M.E./M.Tech./M.S.) with first class in Mechanical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/Biomechanics. Required Skills: Fundamental knowledge of mechanisms design, applied mechanics, basic optimization techniques, CAD modelling, product design and programming skills. Desirable Skills: Passion for problem-solving usinghands-on and mathematical modeling approaches using ANSYS/ OpenSim etc. Knowledge about Biomechanics and musculoskeletal simulations is optional at this stage, but the candidate should be interested in learning the same .
