Job Description

a. Spearhead day-to-day activities of the Launch Management team in the plant to ensure QCD targets are met during the product launch of NPD. Facilitating optimization of launch cost, quality and timelines of projects.

b. Record and monitor the observations of all the builds

c. Lead the pre trials run before customer trails and SOP and follow up to close all the open points

d. Facilitating optimization of launch cost, quality and timelines of projects

e. Ensure smooth handover of the new product to the production team for SOP.

f. Monitor production activity for the first 3 months after SOP

g. Risk identification in product launch and discuss mitigation plan in consensus with CFT for flawless program launch

h. Decipher contribution loss because of program SOP deviation. Mitigate contribution loss based on milestones and escalation mechanism.

i. Ensure assembly line readiness for New Product Development.

j. Coordinate for assembly of parts with the approval of concerned authority within the timeline at later sample stages.

k. Ensure sample part availability in the plant as per drawing.

l. Provide the sample required by the program manager within the target timeline by liaising with R&D, ME, BD, and other functions regarding BOM, data on shortages, part availability during the assembly stage. Ensure there is no part shortage.

m. Check availability of material as per part list/BOM.

n. Monitor the Launch Readiness KPI for new programs according to the Launch Readiness Format. KPIs include the following:

o. Ensure smooth handover of the new product to the production team for SOP.

p. Monitor production activity for the first 3 months after SOP.

q. Integrating and resolving inter team dependencies and deliverables to ensure smooth handover of the new product to the production team for mass production (SOP+90 days) by ensuring timely closure of issues prior to launch.

r. Organize timely meetings with CFT to capture risks to avoid contribution loss based on milestones and escalation mechanism.

s. Conduct Launch readiness reviews at every stage of the program Gates

t. Monitor if program is executed through NPD QA and production teams as per timelines. Presenting to the CFT (PM, ME, Quality, Production) the progress of the program.

u. Presenting to the CFT (PM, ME, Quality, Production) the progress of the program.

v. Risk identification in product launch and discuss mitigation plan in consensus with CFT for zero event program launch.

w. Flexible to travel and execute activities from and for different business units and plants
