Established in 2017, Ek Kadam Aur Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming special education in India. Our main goal is to empower underprivileged communities, with a specific focus on offering educational opportunities to visually impaired children who have been marginalized by the conventional schooling system. Central to our mission is the "Arunodaya (Sunrise) for Blind Children Program," an innovative initiative that provides personalized mentorship to visually impaired children through home visits conducted six days a week. Our experienced mentors, proficient in Braille, deliver specialized training in orientation, mobility, and sensory development under the supervision of seasoned special educators. We are currently seeking volunteers to assist Ek Kadam Aur Foundation in conducting a baseline survey and collecting data on blind children in the Pune district.
