Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide academic leadership and strategic direction for the
Biotechnology / MLS Department
.
Lead curriculum development, syllabus design, and implementation as per UGC/PCI/AICTE/NAAC/NBA guidelines.
Mentor, guide, and evaluate faculty members to ensure academic excellence and professional growth.
Oversee teaching, learning, and research activities within the department.
Facilitate research projects, publications, patents, and funded projects in relevant domains.
Organize seminars, workshops, conferences, and guest lectures for students and faculty.
Ensure effective student mentoring, career guidance, and placement support.
Maintain strong industry and institutional linkages to foster collaborations.
Monitor departmental administration including timetables, academic calendars, records, and compliance with university norms.
Contribute to policy formulation and academic planning at the institutional level.

Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification:
Ph.D. in Biotechnology / MLS or relevant discipline (mandatory) from a recognized university.
Experience:
Minimum
10-15 years
of teaching/research/industry experience, including at least
3-5 years in an administrative/leadership role
.
Should have a strong research profile with
publications in reputed journals
, funded projects, or patents.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks (UGC, AICTE, NAAC, NBA, etc.).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
