Professor - BCA

Position:

• Teach highly specialized and advanced subjects in Computer Applications, such as

  High-Performance Computing, Cloud Architecture, Advanced Data Science, Cyber Security,

  and

  AI/Machine Learning

  .
• Provide

  visionary leadership

  in curriculum design and implementation, ensuring the BCA program remains cutting-edge and compliant with AICTE/UGC Model Curriculum.
• Oversee and mentor

  junior faculty members

  (Assistant and Associate Professors) in teaching methodologies, course material development, and professional growth.
• Design and implement innovative pedagogical techniques, including industry projects, hackathons, and outcome-based education (OBE) practices

2. Research and Innovation Command

• Establish and lead a

  research group

  focused on impactful areas of Computer Applications/Science (e.g., IoT, Blockchain, Big Data Analytics).
• Maintain an exemplary and sustained record of

  research and publication

  in top-tier

  SCI/Scopus/UGC-CARE indexed journals

  .
• Successfully secure and manage

  large-scale sponsored research grants

  and high-value consultancy projects from government and industry bodies.

• Mandatorily guide Ph.D. scholars

  as the main Supervisor/Co-supervisor, with a proven track record of successful Ph.D. completions (AICTE requires at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor/Co-supervisor).

3. Institutional Governance and Industry Interface

• Serve in

  senior administrative roles

  such as Head of Department (HOD), Dean of Faculty, or Chair of central institutional committees.
• Spearhead efforts for

  accreditation (NBA/NAAC)

  and quality assurance.
• Forge

  strategic alliances and MOUs

  with top-tier IT companies and international universities for research collaboration, student exchange, and corporate training.
• Represent the institution at national and international academic forums, regulatory bodies (AICTE/UGC), and industry platforms.

Eligibility Criteria (As per AICTE Regulations for Technical Institutions/MCA)

• Ph.D. degree

  in the relevant/allied discipline(s) is

  mandatory

  (e.g., Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering).

• Master's Degree

  (MCA/M.Tech./M.E./M.S.) and

  Bachelor's Degree

  (BCA/B.Sc. Computer Science/B.E./B.Tech.) in a relevant discipline must have a

  First Class

  or equivalent (minimum 60%) at either the Bachelor's or Master's level.

2. Experience

• Minimum of

  10 - 13 years of experience

  in teaching and/or research and/or industry at a responsible position. (as deemed fit by the Selection Committee)
• Out of these years,

  at least 5 years must be at the level of Associate Professor

  (or an equivalent senior position in Industry).

3. Research & Publications

• Research publications

  in

  SCI/UGC/AICTE

  journals &

  Research projects

  undertaken or completed or guided must be as per the criteria mentioned in the relevant UGC/AICTE regulations.
• The total research score must be as per the criteria mentioned in the relevant UGC/AICTE regulations.
• A minimum of

  2 successful Ph.D. guided

  as Supervisor/Co-supervisor is essential.

Desirable Skills and Attributes

• Recognized as a

  Subject Matter Expert (SME)

  in a high-demand computing domain.
• Strong leadership qualities with a history of successful program management.
• Experience in securing

  IPR/Patents

  and translating research into commercial applications.
• Proficiency in advanced IT infrastructure and large-scale project management.
