Role & responsibilities
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
- Working closely with various stakeholders located in different places in the world, Providing Production engineering SRE support for the critical real time payments ( RTP and ACH ) for domestic in nature.
- Working towards monitoring optimization and related too adoptions like AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus and Open Telemetry ( Otel ). Reviewing the alerts, INC and user queries for toil reduction and related automations.
- Bring the SRE perspective and related modelling to overall Support aspect and INC management process. Reviewing, designing, and re-engineering processes with new technologies to improve performance,
- Working on Problem management for the overall tech debt. Helping in read across and implement the takeaways from recent INC management outcomes.
- Handling Major Incidents and drive the issues towards resolutions. Contributing productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals
- Drive the engineering excellence by automation, observability, SRE and toil reduction. Doing overall capacity review and capacity management for production environment.
- Working on change management when it comes for planning, scheduling and executing.
Qualifications - External
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 12 + years of experience in Production engineering. Should have minimum 5+ years of experience in Payments domain.
- Experience in managing critical Incident management and related ITIL process. Experience in Real Time Payments systems are added advantage. Added advantage if experienced in Finastra payments products like Finastra's Fusion Global PAYplus (GPP)
- Experience of high frequency change, specifically adoption, engineering, and execution of automated CICD pipelines understanding of Unix and Shell scripting
- Proven triage capability under pressure, able to make strong priority judgement at runtime balancing contending demands, Strong understanding of technology layers in application landscape, storage, OS, network, database, application
- Technically inquisitive with progressive interest in modern engineering disciplines and techniques. Understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience in Agile/ DevOps environment and in assisting in production support. Ability to lead technical conversations with various technical support groups.
- Experience of managing a wide spectrum of stakeholders and show ability to manage upwards. Should be flexible to work with Global team in follow the sun (FTS) model.
- Strong experience in monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana and OpenTelemetry (OTel).
