Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Control:

Prepare and maintain the
production plan
for office chairs in alignment with demand forecasts and customer orders.
Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and warehouses to ensure timely availability of critical chair components (plywood, foams, fabrics, bases, mechanisms, casters, etc.).
Monitor
daily/weekly production output vs plan
, identify variances, and drive corrective actions.
Manage
capacity utilization
of machines, jigs, and manpower to achieve production efficiency.
Track
inventory levels (raw material, WIP, finished goods)
through ERP/SAP and optimize stock holding.
Generate regular reports (plan adherence, shortages, OEE) and share with management.

2. New Product Development (NPD) Coordination:

Support design and R&D teams during new chair development projects.
Coordinate
prototype builds, pilot runs, and testing activities
to ensure manufacturability.
Ensure timely readiness of
BOMs, routings, and material codes
in ERP/SAP for new products.
Track progress of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and new component sourcing for NPD projects.
Facilitate smooth transition of new products into the production schedule.

Preferred candidate profile:

Bachelors/Diploma in
Production, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Furniture Technology
.
37 years of experience in
production planning and control
in furniture/office chairs or related manufacturing industries.
Working knowledge of
ERP/SAP (PP/MM modules)
for production and material planning is mandatory.
Proficiency in
MS Excel
for reporting and analysis is mandatory.
