Production Incharge Winding

As the Winding Department In-Charge at Hitachi Energy in Maneja, Vadodara, you will play a crucial role in leading operations for 220kV to 765kV and HVDC converter class transformers. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and managing winding operations such as coil winding, insulation, and coil assembly - Ensuring timely execution of production schedules while maintaining high-quality standards - Interpreting and implementing engineering drawings, winding sheets, and work instructions - Enforcing strict compliance with EHS policies and promoting a zero-incident safety culture - Collaborating with QA/QC teams to ensure quality compliance and drive corrective actions - Leading and developing a team of winding technicians, supervisors, and contract workers - Driving continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies - Monitoring and reporting KPIs such as productivity, downtime, rework, and first-pass yield Your qualifications should include: - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - 15+ years of experience in transformer manufacturing, with at least 7 years in winding operations for EHV/UHV transformers - Strong knowledge of transformer winding techniques including Inter shield, interleaved disc, helical, and layer coils - Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical drawings - Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) - Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills - Ability to lead unionized teams and manage conflict effectively Hitachi Energy values safety and integrity, and as the Winding Department In-Charge, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.,
