Job Summary:

The Production Incharge will be responsible for overseeing and managing daily production operations in the dental materials and devices manufacturing department. This role involves planning and organizing production schedules, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring smooth workflow across production departments while adhering to company SOPs and regulatory norms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive work instructions from the Production Director and ensure smooth workflow between production departments. \
  • Manage production schedules to meet quality and productivity targets.
  • Supervise the production process, allocate tasks, and coordinate activities to minimize delays and maintain high product quality.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company quality policies.
  • Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and work with the team to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Track daily production output of technicians, provide coaching, and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Implement health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance in the production area.
  • Manage material usage and inventory in production to comply with bills of materials.
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance with the Maintenance Department to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Recommend solutions and improvements to enhance product quality, output, and workplace safety.
  • Lead, motivate, and evaluate production team members, conducting regular performance appraisals.
  • Identify skill gaps and support technician skills development.
  • Maintain communication with upper management and provide regular reports on production performance.
  • Undertake additional assignments or projects as directed by the Production Director or senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline; production management or engineering background preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in production and manufacturing management, preferably in dental devices or healthcare equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and regulatory standards such as ISO.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team collaboration skills.
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in production improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and ISO regulations.
  • Commitment to maintaining safe and compliant work environments.
