Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management

Supervise and coordinate production activities during the shift.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
Monitor and control process parameters to maintain efficiency and product quality.
Ensure raw material availability and proper utilization to minimize wastage.

2. Process Optimization & Troubleshooting

Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
Troubleshoot equipment or process-related issues and take corrective actions.
Collaborate with maintenance teams for timely equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.

3. Safety & Compliance

Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, GMP, and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure environmental and pollution control measures are followed.

4. Team Supervision & Training

Lead, guide, and motivate shift operators and technicians.
Conduct training sessions on SOPs, safety procedures, and process improvements.
Maintain discipline, ensure proper shift handovers, and resolve operational issues.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate production records, shift logs, and process reports.
Prepare shift performance reports and communicate with senior management.
Ensure proper documentation as per GMP and regulatory requirements.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of chemical/API production processes and equipment.
Hands-on experience in plant operations, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
Good understanding of GMP, EHS, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to manage a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
