Production Head

Position Objective

To lead and manage the end-to-end production operations of the High-Tension Cable Manufacturing Unit at Dhulagarh, ensuring quality, efficiency, safety, and timely delivery. The role demands strong technical expertise, leadership, and coordination with cross-functional teams and corporate leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. In-Process Quality Checks: Monitor real-time production quality; ensure adherence to technical specs and process SOPs.
2. Final Product Testing: Oversee final inspection and testing of HT cables; ensure compliance with BIS/IS standards.
3. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain production logs, shift reports, downtime analysis, and MIS for management review.
4. Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into defects, delays, or failures; implement corrective actions.
5. Calibration & Lab Readiness: Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and lab is audit-ready at all times.
6. Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure adherence to ISO, safety, and statutory norms; support internal and external audits.

Technical/Functional Expertise

1. In-depth knowledge of HT cable manufacturing processes (extrusion, stranding, insulation, sheathing, testing)
2. Familiarity with BIS/IS standards and quality protocols
3. Proficiency in using ERP systems and production planning tools
4. Understanding of preventive maintenance and utility management
