Roles & Responsibilities

Production Management

1. Manage production activities of a shift in the Assembly shop according to manufacturing guidelines and procedures.

2. Ensure targets under S, Q, C, P, D, and M are achieved.

3. Ensure Blue Collar workers adhere to safety norms.

4. Analyze and mitigate losses impacting assembly line output.

5. Implement best practices from the Company Excellence Operating System.

6. Manage the skill set of Direct Blue Collars.

7. Coordinate with support functions to introduce new products to production.

Quality Continuous Improvement and Audit

1. Reduction in product defects and rework.

2. Maintain assembly processes to ensure Right First-Time products.

3. Document all activities related to Man, Machine, Material, and Method (4M)

4. Ensure targets under S, Q, C, P, D and M are achieved.

Systems and Improvements

1. Maintain 5S standards on the shop floor.

2. Transform Assembly Shop into a visual workplace.

3. Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) philosophy.

4. Improvement in quality documents such as PFMEA Control Plan & Work Instruction.

5. Ensure Blue Collar workers adhere to safety norms.

Overseeing Production Operations:

1. Supervise production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules. Analyze and mitigate losses impacting assembly line output.

2. Conduct troubleshooting and address any production-related issues promptly.

Quality Assurance and Troubleshooting:

1. Implement quality assurance procedures and troubleshoot any quality-related issues.

2. Identify and address rejections, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

3. Implement best practices from the Company Excellence Operating System.

Customer Interaction:

2. Meet with in-house customers to understand their requirements and ensure products meet expectations.

Process Implementation & Improvement:

1. Assist in implementing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

2. Execute setup changes according to plan and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Ensuring smooth coordination among different teams and departments involved in the production process.

3. Managing unforeseen disruptions or breakdowns in machinery, which can lead to delays in production timelines.

5. Maintaining consistent quality standards amidst fluctuating demand and production volumes.

5. Addressing skill gaps and training needs among the workforce to enhance efficiency and productivity.

6. Adapting to changes in technology and industry regulations while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
