The figure has in-depth knowledge of the product and system range and is able to define and prepare the technical specifications necessary for the development of new products or the improvement of existing ones. Key Responsibilities: Customer Technical Interface: Manage technical relationships with customer engineering teams, understanding their requirements and translating them into concrete, feasible solutions. Independently lead technical discussions, clarifications, and reviews with customer teams during RFQ and project development stages. Provide technical support to the regional sales force, ensuring the companys product portfolio is positioned and promoted effectively. Analyse customer feedback, technical concerns, and propose corrective actions or solutions in alignment with internal teams. RFQ Technical Management: Prepar and present technical proposals in response to RFQs, including customized solutions, design assessments, development phases, risk identification, and business case evaluations. Actively support the costing process by providing engineering estimates and technical justifications. Ensure that proposed solutions align with customer expectations, technical feasibility, and company capabilities. Internal Collaboration & Product Development: Collaborate with R&D teams (Testing, Product Concept, Product Development, Application Engineering) and Cross-Functional Teams (Sales, Program Management, Operations, Procurement, Quality) to drive product development and innovation. Provide detailed technical inputs, including product specifications, to support the development of new solutions. Participate in defining the product development roadmap based on technical specifications, customer requirements, and market needs. Familiarity with APQP, DFMEA, and other automotive development processes is preferred. Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct technical benchmarking of competitor solutions to identify product differentiation and improvement opportunities. Monitor market trends, technological developments, and competitive activities to support product and commercial strategy formulation. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong technical background in related engineering domains. Ability to independently handle technical discussions, presentations, and negotiations with customer engineering teams. Sound understanding of product development processes, technical specifications, and application engineering. Experience in technical proposal preparation, risk assessment, and feasibility analysis. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with customers and internal teams. Analytical capability to perform competitor benchmarking and technical market assessments. Proficiency with engineering tools such as CAD, technical documentation, and MS Office.

JOB PURPOSE Maximize customer satisfaction through seamless integration of procedures and continuous improvement efforts. Centered on Customer Quality claim management Responsibilities: EXPECTED END RESULTS & MAJOR ACTIVITIES Management of customer Claim, Field failure issue, Warranty failure issue 1. Visit to customer end to acknowledge the claim and gather necessary claim information. 2. Ensure containment action is identified and established at all levels. 3. Open the Customer claim and complete all the 8D phases step by step. 4. Do strip down analysis of the failure return part. As per process. 5. Measure and control all the components of the products claimed 6. Execute the functional test mechanical, electrical and leakage 7. Complete the analysis report and share with Customer Quality Manager 8. Reply to the Customer in the requested way (portal, mail etc.) 9. Share the analysis results with the involved Saleri process/department 10. close the analysis in defined time frame. Continuous Improvement 1. Should conduct audit (Process / Product / System / Layered / sustenance) audit as per plan 2.Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators including COPQ, Customer claim and parts per million (PPM) figures. 3. Identify the potential failure mode and close it with the help of the team. 4. Participate in FMEA review 5. Form Quality circle and lead it for critical issue. 6. For the change management after SOP- Support for customer audits and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) to meet customer requirements and standards effectively. Compliance with Standards & documentation 1. Ensure adherence to quality standards (IATF 16949:2016) and relevant regulations (EHS, OHSMS, VDA6.3 & VDA6.5) through the documentation. Interaction & Collaboration 1.Maintain effective communication with all stake holders to ensure quality standards and address process concerns. 2.Work closely with other department like Project Management, SCM, Production, Engineering teams to ensure compliance and quality standards. Knowledge Area ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (Must), VDA 6.3 (added advantage) Quality tools (Ishikawa, 5W, 7Q.), Six Sigma Green / Black Belt (added advantage) IATF core tools (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, 8D) Product and process knowledge - Mechanical water pump, Electric Pump, Motors used in OEM Customer focus, Mechanical and electronics knowledge Ability to train the people, Teamwork Knowledge of ERP - SAP MAJOR CHALLENGES Describe the major challenges you face in carrying out your job, and what you do in order to overcome them. Travel to customer end and deal with various OEM customer, Resolve the customer claim in defined time frame. Deal with various team member (CFT)- Internal or external stakeholder to drive the analysis and close the issue. Managing stake holders relations and implementing quality improvement strategies. Coordinating cross-functional teams for effective quality management. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : 1. Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or a related field. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Minimum 7-9 years of relevant experience in Quality Department in which at least 5-7 years in Customer Quality role. Preferred Experience of Pump Mfg. / Electric Drive or Motors mfg. / Engine Parts Mfg. Will add advantage if handled Customer like - Mahindra. Skoda-VW, MSIL, EV Segment Client. SOFTWARE SKILL: MS Office : Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point. Working Knowledge of ERP- SAP. Mini tab (will add advantage). PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURS English fluency in business Communication with stakeholders.
