Job Description

As a Cyber Security Engineer at Medtronic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of medical devices throughout their development lifecycle. You will collaborate with teams to implement security requirements, conduct risk assessments, and monitor security databases to mitigate risks. Your expertise in automation and AI for cybersecurity will be utilized to identify and remediate vulnerabilities efficiently. Moreover, you will enforce security standards and compliance, stay updated on cybersecurity trends, and contribute to refining product security strategies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Implement security requirements across the medical device development lifecycle - Conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments - Continuously monitor security databases and trends related to cyber security - Oversee efficient security incident response - Utilize advanced AI techniques and Python coding for cybersecurity tasks - Ensure implementation and maintenance of security policies in accordance with industry standards - Maintain awareness of current cybersecurity trends and collaborate to refine security strategies **Qualifications Required:** - Experience as a cyber security engineer in a regulated industry - Proficiency in cybersecurity, vulnerability assessments, and security incident management - Hands-on experience in building custom tools and writing automation scripts - 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles - Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and frameworks - Familiarity with security standards such as IEC 62443 and FDA guidance - Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle principles - Proficiency in Python for automating tasks - Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, problem-solving, and analytical skills - Strong team player and collaborator within cross-functional teams This position offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package, including eligibility for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
