We're on a mission to change the way people think about buying and selling cars in Ireland and across Europe. Drive Inc., an ACV company, is a rapidly growing technology start-up in Dublin building digital products for customers across Ireland and beyond. More than 80% of Ireland's car dealers use our platforms to discover, buy, and sell vehicles to and from consumers and other trade dealers. We are also the company behind Nevo, Ireland's only dedicated platform to helping consumers make the jump to electric vehicles. Across our brands, we earn our revenue from auction commissions and fees, product subscriptions, referring leads, and partner advertising. Our revenues have been increasing at an exponential rate, and this is driving the expansion of our software engineering team. We're continuously innovating our brands, launching new products, and looking to move into different markets. To fuel this growth, we're looking for a Product Owner to join our software engineering team. About the Role As a Product Owner, you will collaborate closely with our business stakeholders to understand their goals and translate and prioritize those needs into a digital product roadmap. Working alongside our software engineering teams and technology partners, you will communicate the detailed business requirements and ensure the right features get delivered and to a high quality. Reporting to our Chief Technology Officer in Ireland, you will be a core member of both the engineering and business teams both in Ireland and India. You'll work across all our brands, helping to shape their future direction. Using customer feedback combined with data-driven insights, you will identify ways to improve the experience of our users, optimizing conversion rates and growing our revenues. We strive for continuous improvement in everything we do. You will be helping to define and evolve the ways of working within the engineering team. You will bring your experience and creative ideas to help us find an increasingly effective and efficient approach to identifying, capturing, and delivering valuable functionality. Your Skills and Experience As this is our first Product Owner role, we are looking for someone who has existing experience in a similar role. You will have worked with customer-facing digital platforms that involve some kind of transaction, such as eCommerce, trading platforms, or advertising lead generation. You can explain different techniques for defining and maintaining product roadmaps, along with the contexts in which they are most effective. You know how to prioritize these effectively using a range of different techniques. As a strong communicator, you are very comfortable running stakeholder workshops with both business and technical audiences. You are a good listener and capable of influencing others. You are familiar with agile methodology principles and the definition of user stories as a method of communicating business requirements to internal software engineering teams. You have experience-influenced opinions on how to adapt these methods when working with external technology partners. With a good appreciation of user-experience (UX), you can shape solutions that are easy and intuitive to use. You proactively identify different user personas and can see the world from their perspective to anticipate their specific needs. You're able to analyze data effectively and gain useful insights into user behaviors. You use these to influence the product roadmap and business requirements, able to measure how they have contributed to improved business performance. We have many automotive industry experts within our team already and they are eager to teach you everything you need to know for this role. Any existing industry knowledge is a bonus but it not necessary to be the successful candidate for this role.
