Job Description

Role Overview: As a Product Manager - Technical II in the Transaction Stream team at Mastercard, your role will involve decomposing business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions that enhance platform/product quality, validation, and delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Work as an integration team member to deliver end-to-end product validation for Transaction Switching Solutions. - Play a crucial role in driving quality to help build and ship superior products. - Implement test engineering methodologies, adhere to Mastercard standards, and contribute to building high-quality software. - Ensure that quality is an integral part of the development process. - Proactively monitor customer insights and production issues to gather quality feedback and enhance processes for product/capability improvement. - Promote a culture of quality automation and self-service as part of software delivery practices. - Act as the first reviewer for project-level reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections. - Communicate effectively and collaborate with various global groups within Mastercard, such as Business Owners, Product Owners, Enterprise Architecture teams, and other product teams, to ensure project success. - Lead initiatives aimed at improving automation, defect metrics, and overall quality. Conduct proofs-of-concept based on technological and business needs. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor/Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of experience in test engineering. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. - Proficiency in test strategy analysis and delivery focus. - Experience in Unit, Functional, and Integration testing. - Practical exposure to building and using test automation framework with Java. - Experience in testing across various platforms including Microservices, Event-Driven Applications, and Databases. - Familiarity with different protocols testing (SFTP/sockets/HTTPs/RPC, etc.) and CI/CD pipeline. - Understanding of cloud-based platform architecture and familiarity with microservice testing (Preferred). Additional Details: The ideal candidate should be passionate about emerging technologies and trends, especially Event-Driven Architecture and modern caching/persistence mechanisms. Experience in working with Digital Native Architecture, Spring Boot framework, and Cloud technology (preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry) in an Agile (SAFe) Development Environment is desirable. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for collaborating with Business Owners, Architecture teams, Development/Test teams, Vendors, and guiding teams on technology. Coordination and organization skills are necessary for working with multiple stakeholders and vendors across locations to ensure project success.
