Product Manager, Google Maps Platform

As a Product Manager at Google, you will play a crucial role in guiding products from conception to launch by bridging the gap between technical and business aspects. Your primary focus will be on developing technologies that enhance access to information for millions of users around the world. Responsibilities: - Understand the capabilities and needs of the broader Geo Makers team to effectively represent and advocate for the Google Maps Platform to key Next Billion Users. - Craft product requirements that align with customer needs, clearly articulating the impact to drive roadmap prioritization with the product owner. - Lead the cross-functional product development process from ideation to launch, overseeing the development of tools and enhancements by collaborating with various teams and crafting Product Requirements Documents. - Prioritize market expansion by engaging with developers to comprehend their requirements, promoting the Google Maps Platform, and contributing to scoping and roadmap efforts aimed at addressing customer needs. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 3 years of experience in product management or a related technical role. - 1 year of experience in successfully taking technical products from conception to launch. Preferred Qualifications: - Masters degree or PhD in a technology or business-related field. - 2 years of experience in a business function or role such as marketing, business operations, or consulting. - 2 years of experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders. - Experience in launching Cloud services or API products, ecosystems, and marketplace products. - Experience with developing Business Intelligence products, tools, and software development.
