Product Development Manager- Job Summary

We are looking for a well-qualified Product Development Manager (PDM) to join our existing sales team and help us achieve our goals. Candidate will focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, and prospect management, as this role will garner and meet with potential clients. Candidate will research client business referrals, network, and web leads; provide prospective customers/clients with all services offered and additional presentations as needed. Must be energetic, goal-oriented, persuasive, well-spoken, friendly demeanour and eager to close sales and increase revenue.

Job Responsibilities

  • To understand product, & conceptualise, design and provide inputs to inhouse designer for developing banners, brochures, website uploads & updation.
  • To prepare, edit and finalize the technical write up / presentations for visual aids and other MIS reports required for the Sales/marketing presentations.
  • To conduct/ attend/ give demonstrations as well as visit clinics/ doctors to understand product, get feedback forms for audit purposes.
  • Understand operations & in-house follow-ups for effective execution of the activities.
  • To Collate and analyse the data received and from sales figures.
  • To identify and report the trends and competitor's activities in the market to the top Management periodically.
  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies
  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients
  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals
  • Collaborating with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
  • Creating informative presentations; presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining database (Excel, etc.) of prospective client information

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience with a pharmaceutical/medical device company
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers
  • Able to professionally and confidently communicate with factory & office staff
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Ready to travel as & when required

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred from science background
  • MBA in Marketing preferred
