Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Manager role in Business Development & Product Development with a strong track record in Fire Detection and Safety Solutions . This leadership position requires a deep understanding of fire alarm systems, building automation, and safety technologies, coupled with expertise in product development, product marketing, business development, and project management. The role involves shaping business strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and establishing key customer relationships to drive the growth of the Fire Safety Solutions vertical. Key Responsibilities: Product development and Management: Manage the product lifecycle for a wide range of fire safety solutions, from product design to market introduction. Conduct market research , competitive analysis, and gather feedback from customers to identify new product opportunities and improve existing offerings. Provide valuable input into the product development process, ensuring products meet the specific needs of the Indian market. Work closely with the global product team to address product gaps, pricing, and localization requirements. Business Development & Strategic Planning: Lead the development and execution of growth strategies for the Fire Detection and Suppression vertical , ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Build and manage relationships with key clients , including system integrators, distributors, consultants, and end-users across South India . Spearhead business expansion into new verticals such as government projects, data centers, and industrial sectors . Develop a strategic roadmap for product offerings, including fire alarm systems, public address systems, and gas suppression systems. Product Commercial Cost: Ensuring the stakeholders to have a clear understanding of product costs and the elements of those costs including material and manufacturing costs. o Responsible for the product estimation process. Overall responsibility for the development and collection of internal manufacturing costs, including but not limited to Materials, Labor and Overhead. Driving reduction in product cost, closely collaborating with Offering Management, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to position our products in the market. Establish current/actual product cost reporting capability and cadence of review. (Continual cost & margin monitoring). Project Management & Delivery: Oversee and provide techno-commercial support for fire safety projects, including RFI/RFP preparation , cost optimization , and value engineering. o Manage large-scale design and build projects , ensuring alignment with customer requirements, timelines, and budget constraints. Ensure timely delivery and execution of projects while maintaining high quality and customer satisfaction. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a cross-functional team of business development , sales , and engineering professionals to ensure project success and operational efficiency. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a high performance culture. Collaborate closely with engineering , design , and marketing teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the progress of key projects , sales performance, and strategic initiatives. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the industry. Preferred candidate profile Education: Preferred Bachelor / Master degree in Engineering Background • Experience: Min 15yrs Gender: Male or Female Skills: Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills . Proficient in business strategy development , pricing optimization , and market research . Experience with enterprise architecture , product roadmaps , and technology strategy . Client relationship management and key account management skills.
