Job Description

We're an export company getting ready for the Texworld fair in February. We need a creative and extremely organized Product Developer to join us.

This is not an entry-level job. We are not looking for freshers.

This is a hands-on role. You will be designing a new collection and working on the factory floor every day to get it made. Your time will be split between creating new designs, managing artisans, and ensuring all our client samples are made perfectly.

Your Day-to-Day Job

  • Design Our New Collection: You will research current trends (especially in embroidery, crochet, and handmade) and design the 40-45 piece collection we will take to the fair.
  • Run the Floor: You'll be on the factory floor daily, working with our tailors and artisans to solve problems, manage their workflow, and make sure your designs are being executed correctly.
  • Hit Your Deadlines: You'll be responsible for producing at least 4 new, high-skill samples for the collection every week.
  • Manage Client Samples: You will also oversee all urgent sampling for our existing clients, ensuring they are perfect and ready to ship 4 days before the due date.
  • Be a Technical Expert: You'll create the sketches, tech packs, or any other tools needed to communicate your designs 100% accurately to the production team.

You Are the Right Person for This Job If...

  • You have a strong portfolio of design work (bags, textiles, or fashion).
  • You have proven experience working inside a factory or export house.
  • You love working with artisans and know how to manage a production team.
  • You are highly organized and can manage multiple deadlines at once.
  • You have technical knowledge of embroidery, crochet, or other handwork.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Benefits:

  • Cell phone reimbursement

Application Question(s):

  • What are the 2-3 most important trends you see in handmade fashion (like embroidery or crochet) for the next 6 months, and why?
  • Describe your experience working directly with artisans, tailors, and masters on a factory floor. What is the biggest challenge in that environment?
  • In your past roles, how many new, unique samples were you responsible for creating in an average week or month?
  • Please provide a link to your portfolio or attach at least 3 examples of your design work (concepts, tech packs, or finished photos). Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Experience:

  • total work: 1 year (Required)
