Freelance Kids Textile & Surface Designer

We're looking for a creative freelance designer who loves bringing kids stories and characters to life through textiles. Our brand creates premium kids products (blankets, bedding, towels, accessories), and we want someone who can design engaging doodles, characters, and motifs that make our products truly stand out.

Responsibilities

• Design kids blanket layouts (including doodle strips, motifs, and character scenes).
• Create original motifs, doodles, and characters that are fun, collectible, and kid-friendly.
• Develop print-ready artwork for textile production.
• Ensure motifs can be adapted into repeat patterns or placed elements depending on product needs.
• Collaborate with our team to align with brand characters and storytelling.
• (Optional) Provide insights on patterns, repeats, and textile printing processes.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio in kids product design, motif design, surface design, or character illustration.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Procreate.
• Ability to adapt artwork for textile scale and placement.
• Understanding of what kids love designs that are playful, cool, and imaginative.
• Experience in motif and surface design for textiles (bonus if you've worked on kids products before).

Project Type
