Product Designer (Lifestyle & Educational Products):

Role: Conceptualise sustainable and functional products; prototype designs; test usability.

Project Title: Sustainable Product Designer

Objective:

To design and develop a cohesive product theme that aligns with sustainability principles,

creating functional, aesthetically pleasing, and eco-conscious products for home and office use.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Concept Development:

• Research and analyse current trends in sustainable product design.
• Develop a unique theme that reflects eco-conscious values and integrates seamlessly into modern living and workspaces, which will create an improvement on existing available designs and/ or new designs.

2. Sustainable Material Selection:

• Identify and source environmentally friendly materials, ensuring minimal carbon footprint.
• Evaluate material durability, recyclability, and ethical sourcing.

3. Product Design and Prototyping:

• Create sketches, CADs (including dimensions), and prototypes of products.
• Ensure ergonomic, user-friendly, and aesthetically appealing designs.
• Aim to create versatile multipurpose designs
• Communicate with the manufacturer to provide direction to make the prototype.

4. Brand Identity and Theme Development:

• Develop a visual identity that complements the brand’s sustainability mission.
• Ensure consistency in aesthetics, materials, and messaging across all products.

5. Testing and Iteration:

• Conduct user testing to refine functionality and durability.
• Iterate designs based on feedback and performance analysis.

Deliverables:

• Mood boards and concept sketches
• 3D renderings and prototypes
• Material and sustainability reports
• Finalised product designs for manufacturing
• Brand and product theme guidelines

Success Criteria:

• Products meet sustainability standards (e.g., recyclable, biodegradable, energy efficient production).
• Designs resonate with target consumers in home and office settings.
• Achieves a balance between functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability.
• Efficient collaboration with internal teams and manufacturers.

Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
